1. Who do you model your game after? Why?

Jonathan Toews.  He’s all around 2-way player.

2. Who’s your inspiration to keep playing?

My parents.  They’ve spent a lot of time and money on my hockey playing career and I can’t thank them enough for it.

3. Were you drafted to the OHL and by which team?  What year were you drafted?

I was drafted by the Niagara Ice Dogs in 2010.

4. How many years have you been with this team, or in the league?

This is my 5th year in the GOJHL.  I spent my first 2 years with St. Thomas Stars and the last 2, plus this season, with Sarnia.

5. Besides your home rink, what’s your favourite arena to travel to? Why?

I love going to Strathroy and Chatham.  They both have great hockey atmospheres.  Their fans make it great to play a game.

6. What arena do you hate going to? Why?

The atmospheres in Leamington, London and St. Marys make it difficult to get into the game and get excited about it.

7. What team do you love playing against? Why?

I like playing against St. Thomas.  Being a former Star, I know a lot of the guys that play there and it’s comfortable for me and a lot of fun.

8. What team do you hate playing against? Why?

Strathroy and Chatham because they are such intense hockey games.

9. Favourite pre-game meal

Rice and steak.

10. Favourite hockey memory

My first year in St. Thomas, we won the Western Conference Championship.  We were a 4th place team that year and took out 1st place Strathroy in the 2nd round and then 2nd place London in the finals for the Championship.

11. Are there any areas of your game that you need to improve on?

I feel I need to work on everything just to be a better player.  I am constantly working on my skating.

12. Are you a leader with your team?  How do you try to guide the rookies?

I try to be an example for them.  When they’re down or frustrated about their game, I just try to talk to them and calm them down and maybe give them some suggestions on how they can improve.

13. Talk about your team.  Why do you love playing for them?  What makes you proud to be apart of this organization?

Being in Sarnia is great.  The people that they have running the organization and working with them are great people to be around and everybody makes it exciting to come to the rink every day.
