OHA Board of Directors Appoints GOJHL Midwestern Conference Convenor

CAMBRIDGE, ON – The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) Board of Directors announced that they have approved the appointment of Doug Black to the position of OHA Convenor for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) Midwestern Conference.

Black, a Waterloo resident, will bring his 25 years of progressive business development and management experience to the Midwestern Conference to help better assist the nine teams. The Owner/Operator of the Waterloo Golf Academy until June 2013 has previously been involved in the GOJHL in the past. From 2010-2013, Black was an Assistant Coach with the GOJHL Midwestern Conference Kitchener Dutchmen.

“We are very pleased with the appointment of Mr. Doug Black as the new GOJHL Midwestern Conference Convenor. His past experiences in business and sport management will be an asset to the nine (Midwestern) teams moving forward,” said GOJHL Midwester Chair Karen Phibbs.
