WINDSOR STAR – LaSalle Vipers forward Brendan Harrogate signed with the Mississauga Steelheads Thursday.
A seventh-round pick in the 2014 OHL draft, Harrogate had 38 points in 37 regular season games and 33 points in 29 playoff games with the Vipers.
“Brendan is a skilled player who has shown continuous development over the past two seasons, culminating in a strong playoff with LaSalle in the spring,” Steelheads GM and coach James Boyd said.
“We look forward to seeing Brendan in a Steelheads uniform.”
In his draft year, Harrogate had 40 points in 43 games with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
(After finishing in 5th place in Viper scoring in the regular season Harrogate led the Vipers in playoff scoring leading them to a Sutherland Cup wild card spot with 8 goals, 11 assists and 19 points in 16 Western Conference playoff games. He finished second in team scoring in the Sutherland Cup with 9 goals, 5 assists and 14 points in 13 games as the Vipers dropped a six-game series to the Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs in the provincial championship finals.)
