Leamington Flyers Add To Roster – by C. Scott Holland
The West Conference’s first-place Leamington Flyers are certainly not standing pat. On Monday, November 23, they made two additions to the club by acquiring a veteran defenseman and a forward.
Forward Aaron Langlois was signed by the Flyers as a free agent. He had last played with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires AAA major midget in 2011/12. The 20 year-old forward is 6′ and 205 lbs. and is an Essex, Ont. resident. He is a brother of former Viper Dalton Langlois.
The veteran presence of rugged defenseman David Storey, a vet of the GOJHL, will bring help to the Flyers defensive corps. He had played in the Alberta JHL with Grande Prairie this season and 6′ 2″ and 209 lbs.. The 20 year-old hails from Mississauga, Ont.
He was a member of the Brantford 99ers in 2013/14 and 2014/15 and has played in 81 GOJHL games with 3 goals, 28 assists for 31 points plus 260 penalty minutes.
Langlois has been assigned jersey number 8 while Storey will don number 28. Both players could see their first action as a Flyers player against Sarnia on Tuesday night.
