Silverio Named LaSalle Vipers’ Player of Month – by C. Scott Holland
For the second consecutive month, Manny Silverio has earned the LaSalle Vipers’ honour as their Joe Schmoes’ Player of the Month.
He will be presented with the award in a pre-game presentation prior to the Dec.2 contest when they host the Chatham Maroons.
Silverio’s November ended with the second-year forward chalking up 10 goals and garnering 7 assists for 17 points. His 19 goals this season puts him first in the West Conference.
He won the same team award in October when he amassed a team high 16 points. Vipers’ head coach Bill Bowler said, “I think Manny has taken it upon himself to be a team leader on and off the ice. He has continued to get better and hopefully that progression keeps going.”
With production like that it isn’t any wonder that Silverio is a key to the Vipers’ offense and winning ways.
The Vipers and the GOJHL wish him all the best during the remainder of his season.
