GOJHL Golden Horseshoe Players Of Month – by C. Scott Holland

The Golden Horseshoe Conference of the GOJHL has announced their November Players of the Month.

The Offensive Player of the Month is given to St. Catharines forward Jake Evans. The 20 year-old 6′ forward had an excellent month fabulous month. The 200 lbs. forward, who hails from Thorold, played in 11 games and drilled 6 goals plus assisted on 12 others for 18 points. HIs play has aided the Falcons to move upward in the standings.

The Defensive Player of the Month for November is awarded to Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs’ defenseman Chadd Bauman. Bauman at 6′ 3″ and 228 pounds is a 2011 draft pick of the Guelph Storm (4th round). In 7 games played, he collected three assists while taking only 12 penalty minutes.

The Goaltender of the Month for November is no surprise as Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs’ puckstopper Mark Sinclair wins the award for the second time this season. The Dundas, Ont. native started five games and won four of them. Included in those five contests was one shutout and only 6 goals allowed on 105 shots he faced for a sterling 94.3 save percentage.

The GOJHL and the Golden Horseshoe Conference congratulates these players on their achievements and wish the good luck in their future endeavours with their respective teams.
