LEAMINGTON FLYERS ACQUIRE CONNOR MORRISON FROM MJAHL TRURO BEARCATS

Flyers Acquire Morrison From MJAHL Truro Bearcats – by C. Scott Holland

With little in the way of veteran experience the Leamington have made one pre-season move in which they have acquired 1996 born forward Connor Morrison from the Truro Bearcats of the Martime Junior A Hockey League (MJAHL).

The Georgetown, Ont. native played for the Bearcats for two seasons playing a total of 88 games and put up a total of 48 points. Last season Morrison tallied 12 goals and 24 assists for 36 points while playing in 47 games.  Morrison stands 6’3, and weighs 194 lbs.

He has ties to both the GOJHL and the area.  His older brother Tyler played for the St. Catherines Falcons during the 2014-2015 season, and led the Golden Horseshoe Conference in scoring with 81 points.  Tyler now plays for the University of Windsor.

The Flyers look forward to having Connor in action and become an important veteran member of another strong, competitive Flyers team.
