Similar to previous years all GOJHL teams will participate in the annual Showcase Event to begin the season. After being held the previous two years in London at the Western Fair the Showcase Event will move to Brantford on September 9th and 10th where the Rockets will play the host Midwestern Conference Brantford 99ers and the Golden Horseshoe Pelham Panthers.

Local hockey fans can have a sneak peak at the Rockets’ exciting new lineup in a pair of preseason home and home encounters with the rival Sarnia Legionnaires and the defending Western Conference champion London Nationals.

The Rockets will travel to the Clearwater Arena in Sarnia on Thursday, August 24th for a 7pm match before hosting the Legionnaires on Saturday, August 26th at the Gemini at 7:30pm.  The following night the Rockets will be at the Western Fair in London for a 2:30pm matinee before welcoming the Nationals at the Gemini on Tuesday, September 5th at 7:30pm.

Once again this season, the Rockets’ home preseason games will be free to attend.  Charities will be in the lobby if anyone would like to make a donation to their worthy causes.

The Rockets are pleased to announce that their Season Pass ticket prices have not increased.  Adult premium reserved seating remains at $175, while a general admission pass is $150 and student or senior passes are $125.  Passes will be available for purchase at the Rockets’ preseason games at the Gemini on August 26th and September 5th or by contacting the Rockets at gorocketsgojhl@gmail.com.

Following the Showcase Event the Rockets will open their Western Conference schedule at the Timkin Centre in St. Thomas against the Stars on September 15th.  The Rockets’ home opener will take place on Saturday, September 23rd against the St. Marys Lincolns at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre.  Rockets home game times remains at 7:30pm.
