LASALLE VIPERS KORY SILVERIO CONVERTS PENALTY SHOT

At 11:14 of the second period in a match between the Strathroy Rockets and the visiting LaSalle Vipers at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre in Strathroy, Rocket defender Greg Marks pulled down Kory Silverio from behind on a breakaway and Silverio was awarded a penalty shot.  Silverio made no mistake veering to his right then cutting left across the front of the Rocket goal ripping a quick shot over Weir’s blocker.  The goal would stand up to be the game winner.  It was the first penalty shot goal by the Vipers in 8 years.  The previous one was scored by Eric Noel vs the London Nationals on September 16, 2009.
